Thinking about taking a break from the 9 to 5?
Well, just do it! My partner and I decided to take time out away from the UK to travel and work in North America, and it was the best decision we could have made. After around a year and half livign in Vancouver, BC, we spent 6 months travelling. There really are too many highlights to list here, but I have linked some of the extra special places we visited below. And if you're thinking of doing the same, then get in touch for more hints and tips - we rated each campsite we stayed at!
Trip Highlights
Sunshine, Banff
Great for summer and winter. Stunning views all year round, and very handy to get to from Banff. I would advise you visit in early summer to see the apline meadows.
Best Campsite
I would recommend Tunnel Mountain. It's not quite as plush as Whistlers, but very convinient for getting into Banff, they even run a free shuttle bus.
Yosemite, California
So much to see and do in Yosemite. It's climbers paradise, but if you're not scaling these famous walls, you can sit with a beer and watch the climbers ascend El Capitan.
Best Campsite
We stayed at Tamarack Flats. It is a fairly basic, but well located for exploring the different areas of Yosemite National Park. It is located about 50 mins from the village.
